Are welcome bonuses actually worth it or just a trap?

Curious what people here think about welcome bonuses. On paper they look great but once you dig into the terms the wagering requirements usually tell a different story. Is there a point where a bonus is genuinely useful or do you just ignore them and deposit what you actually want to play with? Would love to hear from people who've had good and bad experiences with them.

Wagering requirements are the whole trick. A 100% bonus sounds great until you see you have to wager it 40x before touching it. Do the math and it's rarely worth it.

I claimed one once and actually made it through the wagering but it took so long that i would've had more fun just playing with my own money from the start.

some bonuses are genuinely decent if the wagering is like 20x or under and slots contribute 100%. anything above that and i just skip it

The ones that get me are the bonuses with game restrictions. Like sure you have a bonus but you can only use it on 5 specific slots you've never heard of.

Honestly stopped chasing bonuses a while ago. Just deposit what i want to play with and keep it simple. no strings attached.
