Predicting roulette numbers fr

Has anyone ever come across someone claiming they can predict roulette numbers? Like actually predict them, not just a system or a pattern. Curious what people think about that. Someone told me recently they could predict roulette outcomes and I didn't know what to do with that information =))
 
People have been claiming this since roulette was invented. If any of them could actually do it casinos would've stopped offering the game a long time ago
 
Roulette is an independent event machine. Each spin has zero relationship to the last one. The wheel doesn't have memory. Anyone claiming to predict outcomes is either confused about how probability works or deliberately misleading you and neither is a good sign
 
There's a whole industry built around this. Psychics systems patterns. Casinos love these people because they come in confident and leave confused about where the money went.
 
Someone tried to sell me a roulette prediction system once for €50. The audacity. The wheel does not care about your spreadsheet.
 
What's interesting is that bias in physical wheels used to be a real thing. Old mechanical wheels would develop patterns over time and a few people actually exploited it. But that was decades ago and modern casinos fixed all of that. So technically it was once possible just not anymore and definitely not through psychic ability.
 
A guy at my local casino once told me he had a feeling about 17 and put €200 on it. Lost. Still talked about it like it almost worked. Some people just really need to believe.
