What's the most frustrating casino term or condition you've ever come across? Genuinely curious how creative they get
 
Maximum cashout on a welcome bonus, so you deposit 100 euros they match it with 100 bonus you wager through the entire thing and at the end you're capped at withdrawing 50 quid. The bonus was never real and they knew that when they offered it.
 
the time limit ones get me the most, 7 days to wager through a bonus on a 35x requirement on a 100 euro deposit, the maths on that is just insulting and they put it in size 8 font at the bottom of the page.
 
Sticky bonuses deserve their own conversation, you can never actually withdraw the bonus funds only the winnings generated from them and then there's usually a max win cap on top of that so it's two layers of restriction dressed up as a gift.
 
@MasonSlots very common unfortunately, the bonus amount just sits in your account and never converts to real money, only the profit from playing with it can ever be withdrawn so if you turn 50 bonus into 200 you can withdraw 150 but the original 50 stays and eventually expires, most casinos don't go out of their way to explain that part
 
found a term once that said the casino could void any withdrawal if they deemed the playing style to be low risk, no definition of what low risk meant anywhere in the document, just vibes based enforcement that they could apply whenever a payout got inconvenient for them.
 
@ethan_spin the low risk playing strategy clause is in more terms than people realise and it exists specifically to catch bonus hunters but it's written so broadly it can technically apply to almost anyone who doesn't play like a maniac, which is most normal people.
 
I once had a withdrawal flagged because I hadn't played enough after making my deposit, no bonus involved whatsoever, just a straight deposit and a clean win, they called it irregular play and the irregular thing was apparently that I won and wanted to leave.
 
@WillCasino the irregular play clause is my personal favourite because it's completely undefined and entirely at the operator's discretion, basically a get out of paying clause that sounds official enough that most people don't question it.
 
@noah_spin some of them probably aren't depending on the jurisdiction honestly, the problem is most players never challenge anything so operators keep using terms that wouldn't survive a regulator complaint for five minutes, they just rely on the fact that nobody will bother
 
Game weighting is the one that personally gets me, the bonus says 100 percent contribution on all slots and then you find out the slot you've been playing for three days contributes 10 percent because it's on an excluded list buried in a PDF linked from a footnote on the promotions page that nobody ever reads
 
I'm actually a bit shocked reading through some of these replies, I've been playing for three years and had no idea half of these clauses even existed, genuinely thought I was reasonably informed and this thread has proved me wrong.
 
Most players don't read terms before depositing and operators know that, the terms exist for the edge cases not the average session, if everyone read them properly the whole bonus model would have to change overnight.
 
withdrawal fees on certain payment methods that aren't disclosed until you're already at the cashier page, found out the hard way that my preferred method had a 3 percent fee mentioned nowhere obvious and by that point I'd already committed to the withdrawal.
 
Had a casino tell me my account was under review for 30 days before they'd process a withdrawal, no explanation given, no detail about what was being reviewed, just 30 days minimum and good luck to you.
