Frustrating casino terms or conditions

@DoubleUpDude the 30 day review thing is almost always a stall tactic and if you complain loudly enough through the right channels it tends to resolve a lot faster than they initially suggest, they're counting on you getting tired and either withdrawing less or just playing it back.
 
@DoubleUpDude file a complaint directly with the licensing regulator, MGA or UKGC depending on where the site is licensed, operators move very quickly when a regulator gets involved, considerably slower when it's just you sending emails to support.
 
why does it take filing a regulator complaint to get something that should just be standard practice, the whole system is designed around the assumption that players won't push back.
 
There's a clause some sites use where any bonus claimed automatically freezes pending withdrawals until the wagering is complete, so if you accidentally click a bonus offer while you already have a withdrawal sitting there the withdrawal gets held hostage, seen people lose months of accumulated winnings to that one because they clicked the wrong button during a session
 
@TheodoreSlots that one is genuinely horrifying, so clicking the wrong button at the wrong moment just costs you your entire pending withdrawal, how is that an acceptable thing to put in terms.
 
unpopular take but some of these terms exist because a small number of players genuinely do abuse every loophole they can find, the problem is operators just apply the same restrictions to everyone rather than the actual bad actors so the majority of normal players end up paying for what a few people did
 
@LeoSlots that's fair but the solution to bonus abuse isn't terms so vague they can be applied to anyone at any time for any reason, if you have a problem with a specific behaviour write a specific rule about it, what most casinos have is just a legal blanket they can pull out whenever a payout gets inconvenient and that's a completely different thing
 
read a terms document once that said the casino reserved the right to change any condition at any time without notice and without needing to inform existing players, so not only are the current terms already bad but they can get worse tomorrow morning and you won't find out until it affects you
 
@wyatt31 the change without notice thing is standard across basically every site and most people just don't know because they never read the original terms let alone check back periodically for updates
 
came in thinking I knew most of the tricks and this thread has quietly introduced me to about six new ways to lose money I didn't even know were possible, so thanks everyone I think.
 
The most frustrating part of all of this is that none of it is secret, it's all written down in documents that are publicly available, operators just know from experience that most players won't read it
