Should I set a win target

Part of me thinks having a number in mind before a session keeps you disciplined and stops you giving it all back. The other part thinks it kills the enjoyment and you end up quitting right when things are getting good. Idk what I should do

I set a win target and a loss limit before every session. Without both of those in place I'd either chase losses or give back every win trying to push further. Took years to build that discipline but it changed everything.

win targets kill the fun for me personally. half the enjoyment is seeing how far a good session can go and a target puts a ceiling on that

i used to just play until i felt like stopping and somehow that always meant playing until i lost everything. the feeling of wanting to stop never actually came.
