Tell us a bit about yourself. Who are you and what is your role at Macaw Gaming?

My name is Stefan, and I am the COO of Novateq Global as well as the Business Director of Macaw Gaming. My role is to follow the direction and vision of our brand with the support of our team and to discover the proper place in the market for it.

How did you first start in the gambling industry? What were the initial challenges?

My journey in the Igaming industry began in 2016. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to gather a wide range of experience and knowledge through many Igaming verticals ranging from customer support to sales and operations management and on to the positions I currently hold.

With so many game studios on the market, what do you think is the biggest differentiator for Macaw Gaming?

To be honest, I feel there is a place in this market for everyone. The industry is large and expanding, and I am confident to say that we have found our niche and audience as a brand. Most importantly, we observe market trends and needs, while also constantly listening to our partners and clients.

Can you please tell us what is the slot with the Biggest Wins from Macaw Gaming? We are sure our readers would like to give it a spin, if they haven’t already.

Given that our concentration is not solely on slots, I’d want to highlight our crash game Hot Balloon as our flagship game, which has delighted many players all around the world, and when it comes to slots, our most recent release Suleiman The Magnificent is quickly becoming a fan favorite among players!

What are your top 3 favorite slots from Macaw Gaming? Can you please tell us the reasons behind your choices?

I would say Joker’s Smile, Suleiman the Magnificent, and Mac Ludo which is a peer-to-peer game!

Joker’s Smile is just bringing that classic old vibe into the modern world, and the key reason is its simplicity.

Suleiman The Magnificent was a long-desired theme, and much work was put there! We aimed to bring in a glimpse of history’s golden age of one monarch. There is a lot more there if you dive beneath the surface and discover that almost each symbol has its own narrative.

Finally, MacLudo just won’t let you go; competition and joy are inevitable; we succeeded to re-create a game we all enjoyed and played as kids and add an Igaming industry spin to it. Anyone can win with a little luck and good strategy!

What is the most important aspect of a slot from your perspective?

Entertainment is important on both the consumer and creator sides.  Nowadays, players want to be involved and have an influence on the outcome, and we provide just that with many winning elements, various bonuses, leader boards, chats between players, etc. Given that Macaw gaming was established on a passion for games, we strive to preserve and spread that passion to our players!

Is there any way to predict if a slot is going to be a hit or not?

Both “yes” and “no” are equally acceptable answers. Due to the market’s size and rapid change, we aim for each game we create to be a unique hit with its own core audience. The feedback we are getting from our partners and clients is crucial to note here because it really helps us in making our predictions.

Looking to the future, what is the next big release Macaw Gaming is planning?

I absolutely see a very bright future for our brand; last year was a tremendous step forward for us, and I am excited about what lies ahead. There are many things in the making, new crash games, fast games, more high-quality slots, numerous new jurisdictions where we want to acquire our licenses/certificates and bigger market share. Stay tuned!

Do you have any advice for those who would like to work in the gambling/ e-gaming industry?

Doors are open for anyone who enjoys being constantly challenged and being a part of a big community, which this industry is. Simply start! You can even email us or check out our careers. We are always looking for new talents!

If you weren’t in the gambling industry, what other industry would you want to work in?

I currently can’t picture myself outside of this industry, but I know that I will always be involved with sales, people management, and innovation.

Is there anything you would like to transmit to those who support Macaw Gaming, before we say goodbye?

We have been in the business for almost a decade through various verticals, and the fact that we have such a fantastic network of people and trusted partners is just confirmation that we are doing good work. However, it also places a greater responsibility on us to constantly strive to improve. We honestly appreciate all the help and support we are receiving. The best is still to come!
