Tell us a bit about yourself. Who are you and what is your role at Neko Games?
Hello to you and all of your readers at SlotsCalendar! My name is Sebastian Perrier and I’m a co-founder of Neko Games.
We’re an independent, Buenos Aires-based games studio that specializes in creating innovative video bingo games.
My role means I get to work closely with my colleagues across areas of the business, whether that’s helping to attract the best talent to ensure our product remains best-in-class, meeting with operators to bring our games to new audiences in different territories, or keeping us up to date with the latest regulatory requirements – and everything in between!
I have a lot of fun doing it.
How did you first start in the gambling industry? What were the initial challenges?
I’m fortunate enough to have been in the iGaming industry for over 15 years. I was one of the founding employees at Trillonario.com, then during my MBA at UCD College Dublin in Ireland I did an Internship at PaddyPower. Thereafter, became General Manager for Betmotion.com and then Regional Director for Scientific Games, Vera&John and vBet. So my background is more B2C related at the beginning of our career rather than B2B. This gave us the opportunity to understand how players think and what they want.
With so many game studios on the market, what do you think is the biggest differentiator for Neko Games?
Neko Games is different because we’re dedicated to developing Video Bingo games.
Our product is more closely aligned with slots in terms of graphics, features, themes and overall quality, and each of our releases is designed to further bridge the gap between today’s feature-rich video slots and traditional bingo.
We do this by combining interesting themes with fun, varied and engaging features, which our players seem to love.
We also focus more on developing markets, such as Asia, Africa and Latam, while most games are created for mature gamblers in Europe.
Can you please tell us what is the slot with the Biggest Wins from Neko Games?

What are your top 3 favorite slots from Neko Games? Can you please tell us the reasons behind your choices?
Sure thing! In no particular order, my top 3 games are:
Immortal Romance Video Bingo – This was the first branded title to come out of our studio and we pulled out all the stops to produce a game worthy of the original. We had the honor of launching the video bingo version on the slot’s 10-year anniversary and we’re all really proud of how well it turned out. It’s a must-play for any fans of Immortal Romance!
Don Bingote – Everything just clicked with this game! We launched it in November 2021 and it’s been one of our best performers ever since. I love everything about it, the fun features which relate to the story, the Don Bingote character at the side of the screen, the 5000x jackpot – even the soothing strums of the Spanish guitar! This one ticked a lot of boxes.
1524 Golden Quest – This is definitely one of our best-looking games. It’s based on the legend of El Dorado, and it follows the adventures of a 16th-century Spanish explorer on his quest for the lost city of gold. It’s a world-famous story and the theme really complements the game’s three features, especially the 6-level Golden Pyramid Bonus. It’s a lot of fun to play too!
What is the most important aspect of a slot from your perspective?
Whether it’s slots, video bingos, a live casino gameshow or any other game, the most important aspect from my perspective is harmony.
By that I mean the graphics, features, prizes, theme and gameplay should all complement each other, and no one aspect of a game should overshadow the other.
A beautiful theme will go to waste if it doesn’t have a solid engine and math model behind it. Similarly, good math can’t save a game with an uninteresting theme. We see so many reskins of games today, and a good theme can make all the difference in how the same game performs.
Everything needs to be in balance for a game to be successful or else it might never reach its potential, and harmony doesn’t happen by accident. It takes a lot of time and a bit of luck to get things just right!
Is there any way to predict if a slot is going to be a hit or not?
You can never be sure how successful a game is going to be before it launches, but you can do your homework to give it the best possible chance.
At Neko Games, we look at what’s already successful with players in a particular region in terms of features and gameplay, then twin it with a theme that we think will resonate with them.
Don Bingote, for example, is based on the famous story of Don Quixote, and it’s proven to be a top performer with players in Spanish-speaking countries thanks to its familiar theme, excellent gameplay and rewarding features.
Looking to the future, what is the next big release Neko Games is planning?
Our next big release is American Gold Fever and it’s based on the California gold rush of the 1850s. It has a fantastic Mine Shaft Bonus which awards players with bigger prizes the deeper they go, and they can progress through five different levels by selecting different sticks of dynamite to detonate.
