Do you actually read the paytable before playing

Genuinely curious how many people sit and read through the paytable and rules before spinning. I never used to bother but got caught out on a slot where I didn't realise the bonus had a specific mechanic I completely missed. Now I at least skim it.

I always at least check the bonus mechanic before buying or playing long. Had a slot once where I didn't realise wilds didn't pay in the base game and wasted a whole session misreading hits.

Depends on the game. New release from a provider I know well I'll probably skip it. Something totally unfamiliar I'll give it a quick read.

skimming is fine but some paytables are so badly written you still have no idea how the game works after reading the whole thing.

This is why I watch a short video on a slot before playing it for real money. More useful than a paytable that buries the key mechanics in three paragraphs of small print.

Reading the paytable properly takes 2 minutes and can save you from misunderstanding the whole game. I don't get why people skip it.

because most of us just want to play lol. theory is fine but sometimes you just want to open a slot and see what happens
