How did you get into gambling

Did someone introduce you to it, or did you find your way there on your own? First time gambling could have been anything, a scratch card, a slot at a pub, a friend dragging you to a casino. Curious how people actually end up here.

My uncle took me to a casino on my 18th birthday, handed me 20 euros and said don't tell your mother, lost it in about 12 minutes and thought that was the funniest thing that had ever happened to me.

Completely on my own, found an online casino through an ad, deposited a small amount just to see what it was like and then spent the next hour figuring out how everything worked, nobody involved just curiosity.

friend group, someone suggested the casino after dinner one night and about six of us went in with no idea what we were doing, somehow I was the only one who came out ahead and now I'm the one who suggests it after dinner

My dad used to do the football pools every week when I was growing up. Watching him fill out the coupon every Saturday is probably where it started for me, felt completely normal by the time I started playing properly.

Found my way here alone. Was just bored one evening and ended up on an online casino, stayed for about three hours and lost twenty euros and somehow felt fine about it, came back the next week.

Work colleague mentioned he played online slots on his lunch break and I thought that was the strangest thing I'd ever heard, tried it myself two days later. Been playing for four years now so I suppose I owe him something.

Slot machine at a holiday camp when I was a kid, the kind where you push the pennies over the edge, technically gambling, definitely the start of something.

Nobody introduced me. Just ended up there on my own one night and it stuck. Can't even remember what made me try it the first time which probably says something
