Tristan Esaid

Tristan Esaid’s resume might seem like he’s relatively new to the iGaming industry, which, at this point, has separated itself in quite a way from the rest of the gambling sector. However, games of luck operate on standard mathematical principles.

Tristan has been excelling in the casino gaming business for most of his professional career. In fact, the genesis of his expertise stems from his education, which began with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Western Sydney University.

His big break in the workforce was landing a game designer role with Konami’s Australia studio, spending almost 5 years there. After leaving his role there, Tristan finally entered the casino gaming world by joining Playtika in 2016.

From here on, his was a steady and admirable rise, serving as a game designer in the land-based casino world. Eventually, Tristan rose to a team leader role, blending his abilities of concept generation and problem-solving with management credentials. He also served as a site manager for Playtika, eventually reaching the role of Director of Game Design & Product.

In 2024, RubyPlay decided to launch a separate gaming studio, Koala Games, with Tristan Esaid as its director. Given that Koala Games is an autonomous and creatively independent studio that just takes advantage of the distribution network of RubyPlay, Tristan shoulders the responsibility of his company’s success.

As such, Tristan’s experience of over a decade of game design, well-deserved credentials as a leader, and proven talent are just a few of the reasons why we’re honored to have him as a SlotsCalendar contributor.
