This market is constantly evolving and changing at a rapid pace. Being able to pivot quickly to market changes is critical to success and growth, our primary goal is creating the greatest games possible. Empowering our team to make decisions is how we reduce friction and in turn, grow the team’s skills which helps us make better games faster.How has player or operator feedback shifted your design priorities in the last couple of years?
Feedback is one of the most valuable tools in our creative process. It doesn't just validate what we’ve built, it actively shapes what we create next. At the end of the day, we view feedback not as a checkpoint, but as an ongoing conversation. Once we realised how well X UP™ complemented cash collection mechanics, the decision to introduce the Diamond Scatter felt like a natural next step, it allowed us to inject added potential into every spin. The synergy between these features brings a new layer of energy to the gameplay experience. We’re also incredibly proud of the Bass Cash franchise. With each release, we're not only refining the mechanics but also developing the personalities and world of our characters. Francis and Winston have become familiar favourites, and this latest chapter gave us the perfect opportunity to expand their story. Setting the game in an ice fishing environment offered a fresh visual identity and a fun twist on the theme, while also giving us a unique stage to showcase the Diamond X UP™ mechanic. This iteration was all about deepening the experience, both in terms of feature innovation and franchise storytelling. It’s a balance of familiarity and novelty that we believe players will really enjoy.The X UP™ scatter mechanic has been expanded with a fourth scatter type - Diamond. What was the goal behind adding this additional scatter, and how do players benefit from that evolution?
As the mechanic evolved across subsequent titles, we are constantly looking at how we can add to the X UPTM mechanic without taking anything away. We started by integrating Free Spins, then enhanced the experience with upgraded Multiplier Trails. After that, we focused on making those trails more impactful within the base game itself—ensuring that the excitement wasn’t confined to bonus rounds. The natural next step in this evolution was the introduction of the Diamond Scatter. By adding this, we’ve elevated the mechanic’s potential, giving players more frequent access to high-impact outcomes and creating even more dynamic gameplay moments. What we will say is this: our process is deeply rooted in understanding player psychology. We consider how mechanics unfold, how they spark curiosity, and how they encourage deeper engagement without ever becoming overwhelming. Of course, how we achieve that harmony... Well, that’s where the Alchemy comes in. It’s a creative intuition we’ve cultivated as a team, one that allows us to balance complexity with clarity, depth with delight. What’s your philosophy on evolving versus innovating new features?
New mechanics are at the core of our DNA, and we love coming up with totally new ideas, however, sometimes the best game is one that has a twist on an existing mechanic. For us, it’s all about creating the best possible game for that moment, one that’s truly engaging to play. Sometimes that means involving or upgrading existing mechanics; other times, it’s about introducing something entirely new. Ideally, every game strikes the right balance and, most importantly, delivers fun!From your experience, what types of bonus triggers or features — like UpsizerTM or Collect mechanics — tend to perform best across different player segments and casino partners?
In our experience, features that empower player choice, like Upsizer™, consistently deliver strong engagement across both casual and seasoned audiences.
