Could you start by introducing yourself, detailing your role at Pateplay, and sharing how your journey in the iGaming industry began?

I was 22, with no experience in the gaming industry, even as a player. And because I’m very curious, the change came. I became part of the private Bulgarian National Lottery (7777.bg) from the very moment of its foundation (2012) until its end in 2019 when the lottery business was nationalized. Great project. Developed by a team at a very high professional level. Personally, I went through many different tasks and duties until I took the role of Marketing Manager in the company.
I then went on to other big projects in the industry until Pateplay came along.
What emerging technologies are you looking forward to integrating into your slot games? How do you envision these technologies enhancing the player experience?
Technology is only an auxiliary part to the final product. All the technologies we use and implement are entirely focused on the user experience – how to make it better, more engaging, more consistent. It’s important for the user to feel pleasure, and our goal is to make all that happen.

As you develop games, how do you ensure they capture player engagement uniquely? Can you discuss any specific game developed with market expansion in mind?
The process of creating our games is extremely complex. It is based on a lot of data and information about the market, regulations, behavior of consumers and operators. Our strategy for the development of our game portfolio is entirely related to the markets we operate and enter. And to certain extent it is possible to predict the success of every particular game.
For example, I can share with you that the game:
- Regal Spins is made especially for Eastern Europe and performs very impressively.
- Pure Ecstasy is made specifically for Ukraine and its results are phenomenal.
- Mr. First is very successful in Brazil.
How do you incorporate psychological elements into your game design to boost engagement and entertainment?
Every element/stage of the game development process is based on the psychology of player behaviour and motivation, with the aim of making it more engaging and entertaining.
How has player feedback influenced the development of your games? Could you share an example where player input significantly shaped a game’s development?
Our business is B2B oriented, and we may not always get feedback from players. But we have a very warm relationship with all the operators we work with and any feedback we get from them is very well analyzed by us.
For example, I can share that we made an improvement in the gaming experience in one of our Bonus features, namely our Free Spins feature, thanks to feedback from one of our partners.
Which game at Pateplay has recorded the largest wins? What elements do you think contribute to its success among players?
Many of our games have recorded huge wins. Some of the biggest wins are definitely from our Jackpot feature, which is a shared jackpot across all our games and accumulates huge amounts. Huge amounts are a very strong motivator for players to desire them and play for them.
