Reporter: So, how is the show treating you so far?

Interviewed: The show has been great, it’s almost over, we’re very happy to be once again in London, it’s our biggest forum, here we meet our current customers, old customers, meet some old people that we know…So, yeah, overall, great show!

R: Can you tell me more about your company?

I: Yeah, Sure. 7Mojos is a relatively new company, it was created about 3 years ago. It was based on our studios that we have in Varna, Bulgaria. So, studio business, we have been for about 8 years, I believe. And, later on, the logical forward step was to develop our own software infrastructure, so we started building some live casino games. We built our own back office and a complete infrastructure for that. Later on, we continued doing some slot games. Myself, I’m more into slots than the live casinos, but I’m always, you know, working in both directions, so, yes, finally, we developed 8 different live casino games, typical games like roulette, blackjack, baccarat, unlimited blackjack…And then we continued with specific Indian suits of games, Andar Bahar, Teen Patti and so on. On the slots side, we tried to cover the majority of popular themes for slots games, like fruit games, ocean games, Egyptian games and, this year, we will be launching new titles. We did a complete refactoring of our slot engine. So, this is 7Mojos.

R: Personally, do you prefer live games or slots?

I: Myself? I’m a slots guy, I prefer to play slot games. My favourite, let’s say, part of gambling has always been slots. I’ve been into slots for 20 years. So, yeah, the slots are my love, I’m gambling as well, and I prefer to gamble on a slot game rather than the live casino.

R: Can you tell me the most popular game, from you guys, in 2022?

I: The bigger portion of our income comes from the live casino, so, some of our most popular games are the roulette, the baccarat game, Dragon Tiger has been performing very well lately. And of course, the Indian games, Andar Bahar, Teen Patti, Teen Patti 2020.

R: Which, do you think, will be the most successful in 2023?

I: Definitely, it’s going to be our Galaxy studio. Last year, we built a specific studio that looks like a spaceship or something like that; it can be seen in the back. So, this is a physical studio, it’s not a chroma key, and we launched it last year; it’s growing little by little. So far, we’re running a roulette and a blackjack table from that studio, but soon, we’re launching baccarat tables from the same environment. And also, we have been experimenting last year a lot with the chroma key technology. So, now, in 2023 we’ll be able to consolidate on this basis and be able to customize the background for each and every operator that works with us. So, basically, we can show all promo campaigns that they have and bonuses and whatever crazy idea they have for the background of the studio; this is customizable per operator. So, we’re definitely going to, let’s say, accent on this aspect of our business.

R: I’m a big fan of the chroma key, so I need to talk to you more about this! If someone is new in the industry and wants to start gambling, what would you recommend, from the live games or slots? Which one?

I:  It’s a very tough question. I think that each person is different. Myself when I started in gambling in 2003, it took me at least 2 or 3 years to fully understand the idea behind the slots, and, honestly, I wasn’t interested in that. It was no fun for me because, normally, I would stay at the office and play some games but with, like, fake money or no real credit, and I felt the passion for gambling once I started putting my own money into the games, because, when you win money and actually can cash it out, then you feel the thrill. So, I don’t know, some people like to play casual, blackjack or poker game or roulette game, others play slot games. There are people nowadays, younger people, that would play crash games and stuff like that…So, it’s really individual.

R: Can people cheat at slots or live casino?

I: My answer would be no, but, If I look back in time, it has been a lot of cases actually that people have cheated. But this is very, how to say, immense topic. Generally, our games are certified by the biggest laboratory in the world, Gaming Laboratories International, GLI, so that is solid proof that the games are not easily being manipulated or whatsoever so… The answer to your question is no.

R: There are a lot of urban legends…

I: Exactly!

R: Yeah, exactly, and I wanted to make sure we cover this up.

I: We haven’t had such a case for the years I’ve been into business. Myself, I’ve never stumbled upon a case of cheating.

R: Can you tell me the biggest win you’ve seen, either personally or someone cashed out?

I: The biggest win?

R: Yes!

I: Ok, well, that’s easy one. The biggest wins I’ve seen is in the US, over the Wheel of Fortune jackpots and multi-box; there are multi-million prizes, so… That’s the biggest I’ve seen. The biggest win I’ve had myself was in Las Vegas. I was playing a casual game in the casino, and I hit the jackpot, so I got a payout of about if I’m not wrong 8,000 dollars?

R: Congrats! Oh my god!

I: Yeah, it was some time ago!

R: Can you tell me the first slot you’ve created as a studio?

I: Ok, the first slot we created was based on a very popular mechanic that is very popular in central and Eastern Europe because we sit, our studios, our headquarters is in Varna, Bulgaria, which is Eastern Europe. So, we picked one of the popular slots and we made our special twist with our own idea and concepts but we try to stick to a popular mathematic model that has been played and we know that’s a sure bet for us. But, the last slot we did , it was very interesting and creative process doing it. We made this slot called Infinite Wilds, so it’s basically a gem-themed game with a lot of interesting features. Now we’re building some mechanics on the slot games that, I believe, I haven’t seen yet on the market. But, I cannot disclose too much. Hopefully, your viewers and your audience will be able to see the slot in the next couple of months!

R: I want to ask you about the creative process. Like, you have a lot of slots…How do you come up with new ideas?

I: We have, like, a small creative committee within the company, and we sit every week, and we throw ideas, we brainstorm. Some of us are more creative than others, so there are people that are in charge of the project management. So, the crazier the idea, the better. But then, of course, we need to put it in some rails and, I don’t know, we just brainstorm! We have the project management guys, we have the product owners. If the idea, the concept or the idea has been proven and we agree that we’re going to continue with this concept, then we have a designers team, the animators and then the developers.

R: So I guess you have a customer type, and I’m curious about what type of customer you want to attract for your business.

I: We definitely cater to different profiles of customers; that’s why we have, like, separate types of games. So, when we talk Live Casino, we needed to make the must-have games like roulette, blackjack, baccarat, the classical, the most played games. Those games are catering to, let’s say, profile that is classical gambler, that’ll like to play the classical games, such as Blackjack or Roulette. Then, we have the ideas like the Galaxy Studio, and this is much oriented to the younger demographics because, again, younger players they’re not too familiar with the old concept in casino, classical concepts. So, we decided to make this environment friendly to the people that would normally play e-sports, or people that are involved with crypto, this kind of cyberpunk environment. That’s why we wanted to help operators, to be able to lower their costs for acquisition and retention for younger demographics, and I think they appreciate our effort because those galaxy games are very welcome by the younger players.

R: Do you have a recipe for success in a slot? Like, it needs to have this, and this…

I: I would rather say no, because, like in gambling, you need to have a little bit of luck to find the right product or develop the right idea or concept. But there is no, let’s say, proven formula of success. We need to try different things, we need to experiment; there is no other way! We believe that by doing things with our own heart, people will see that, will feel that when they touch our product when they play our games, they can feel the passion that we have invested in that!

R: And the last question: I want to know your personal favourite slot!

I: Okay. My all-time favourite slot is called ‘The Invaders of Planet Moolah’. This is an old game from WMS, Williams, a company I’ve been working with, so that’s my favourite slot!

R: Thank you so much for your time! It was a very nice interview!

I: Thank you!
