Tell us a bit about yourself. Who are you and what is your role at Oros Gaming?
I’m Ryan Cuddy and I’m the CEO of Oros Gaming. My goal is to continuously ensure we are on the right track providing casinos innovative ways to deliver platinum level games that bring massive entertainment to players through the Games Global network.
How did you first start in the gambling industry? What were the initial challenges?
I started as an intern in college for IGT back in 1998, developing math models for games in the U.S. market. I became completely fascinated with the ability to adjust even the smallest frequency of a symbol or event mathematically that would create a domino effect of disproportionate anticipation, choreography, and excitement for players. My initial challenge was getting my schooling finished so I could spend more of my time in my new lifelong passion.
With so many game studios on the market, what do you think is the biggest differentiator for Oros Gaming?
It’s in our approach to design and how we tell the story of our incredible math. You will immediately and intuitively know what paths lead to all of the exciting opportunities. There’s no confusion of where the value is and we do it in an innovative and exciting way.
Can you please tell us what is the slot with the Biggest Wins from Oros Gaming? We are sure our readers would like to give it a spin, if they haven’t already.
Iron County Outlaw has the biggest wins. When you make it to the last level, after going through all the levels building more and more exciting features with more volatility, your multiplier builds on consecutive wins to 10x the stacked wild wins and the total pays are awesome. The ride up to the last level is incredibly fun, the excitement continues on each spin in the final level, and the wins are almost unbelievable.
What are your top 3 favorite slots from Oros Gaming? Can you please tell us the reasons behind your choices?
Although our team has made hundreds of land-based games, we are currently releasing our 4th online game. Of those four, our newest release, Iron County Outlaw, is going to continue to be one of my all time favorites for a long time. I also love our games with cash on reels as that’s an aspect of gaming we have really shined in our land-based U.S. experience. The start of those models for us include Quick Cash and Chilli Inferno, but there’s an incredibly thrilling set of games coming in this family that takes what we’ve done to a new level.
What is the most important aspect of a slot from your perspective?
The entertainment value. Oros Gaming is quickly becoming a premier game studio of exclusive GGL studios. And we believe it’s because of our strengths in designing exciting mathematics and features and how we express it with the visuals and audio in a way that immediately engages and maximizes the entertainment value for our players.
Is there any way to predict if a slot is going to be a hit or not?
Creating hits is both an art and a science. As a team, we are continually asking ourselves why we are compelled to keep playing what we are developing, why we feel like it’s time to leave the game and move on, and what would make us enjoy it even more that would have kept us engaged and having fun. When we are ready to leave a game, we ask ourselves what game we’d rather play and why. We can’t predict what will be a hit, so we continually look for better questions to answer on our journey of creating hits for casinos and players.
Looking to the future, what is the next big release Oros Gaming is planning?
We have what I believe is going to be our most entertaining and engaging release of our history coming this summer. We are making exciting enhancements to a proven engine and taking cash on reels entertainment to a new level.
Do you have any advice for those who would like to work in the gambling/ e-gaming industry?
My first advice is to do what you love and love who you serve. If you love it, it’s not work, it’s an engaging challenge and you’ll truly value the growth you experience and giving to the people you serve. Secondly, everyone has value so find the value in every person you come across and help them become even more valuable. Third, don’t settle for average or even good standards. Aim high, keep your standards at the exceptional level with an addiction for constant improvement, and pursue it with passion and persistence. If you don’t, you are counting yourself out.
If you weren’t in the gambling industry, what other industry would you want to work in?
Education. I have spent quite a bit of my time helping all varieties of youth from local homeless youth to those more fortunate and I truly enjoy being someone they can rely on to support their growth and their individual journey through whatever they are experiencing.
